This brace has been a lifesaver

I ordered the MalleoTrain S after experiencing sudden foot tendon pain. I have a 4 year old knee fracture that has caused muscle imbalance and chronic tightness, which I think led to tendonitis. I tried the basic sleeves off Amazon and didn't find enough stability. This MalleoTrain S provides support to my peroneal tendon and takes the pain from the medial side of my knee, making it easier to walk. Simple directions for wear and easy adjusting. I'm hoping this brace provides healing support as well, but it's only been about 2 weeks so I cannot say. I ordered the open heel version as well to allow better room in my shoe. I've tried several other brands and Bauerfeind is well worth the expense. I am a between-ish size and ordered down.

Comfort and support

Very well made and provides comfortable support. The sock sleeve is soft and provides a comfortable barrier between the strap and your foot. The strap is long and thin but very strong. It easily winds around my foot and ankle several times to provide superior support. Fits easily into an athletic shoe. Strap does not rub or cut into skin with repeated use. Easily laundered for continuous use.

Post surgery support

this brace was recommended by my PT after ankle surgery. It was approved by my orthopedic surgeon. It gives the perfect amount of support for activities like running, spinning and yoga. Comfortable in my shoe

Much better than doctors recommendation

I purchased this after doing my due diligence the result of many miles on the trail this year. After rolling my ankles from my Solomon Trail runners (I've subsequently returned those) I wanted more support since I knew that I was stretching the ligaments and would need some support for those times where I would suffer a sprain. This support which not the cheapest one around is the easiest to put on and very stable. Unlike other braces this offers some compression to keep the swelling down should you encounter an injury the way I did recently. While doing a very arduous hike in April I was talking to a buddy and turned to say something and while putting my left foot down I rolled my ankle as the rock I was on came loose and my whole body collapsed on that left ankle. Not good. I broke the very bottom of my left fibula and the ortho prescribed a lace up ankle support and wasn't familiar with this one. I tried his but it was not nearly as comfortable or easy to put on. I started hiking again after my follow up visit and use this while my ankle heals and so far it's helped a lot with keeping my on the trail while I recover.

Exactly what I needed

A year and a half after a nasty dislocation and sprain I still have a lot of problems with my ankle. This brace makes all the difference. It provides all the stabilization I need without the nastiness of a hard brace. It also keeps it from hurting at any time whether I'm playing or when it is just aggravated from use or even weather. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone with an ankle issue, even a severe one.

Finally

The best ankle brace i have ever had. Pain ceased as soon as i put it on. It gives excellent support and a feeling of warmth. The brace is so comfortable, I had to keep reminding myself to take it off to go to sleep. One more thing, it is beautiful.

Great Brace

Provides a good feeling of stability. Very comfortable as I worn it for hours. Doesn't effect my touch on the field as I play soccer in it. Worth every penny!
