What Socks should i wear for running?

Choosing running socks depends a lot on your personal preference. Generally, socks are available in different lengths and with different types of compression, cushioning and material.

Have the energy to go the distance with running socks from Bauerfeind. We offer Run Ultralight Compression Socks and Run Performance Compression Socks in three lengths as low-cut, mid-cut and knee-high socks. The socks feature innovative functional zones for better endurance and comfort on your runs. Our socks are anatomically padded to relieve stress on your Achilles tendons and feet. The soft breathable and temperature-regulating materials keep your feet dry and fresh.

Bauerfeind’s running socks line features innovative functional and comfort zones with targeted compression. All socks are made of high-tech microfiber.
Our knee-high running compression socks activate the circulation and muscular metabolism in the calves for better performance and endurance while simultaneously reducing swelling and soreness. Additional zones support and stabilize your feet. We have incorporated specially structured padded areas on the soles, heel and instep area to reduce pressure loads on your Achilles tendon and feet for a more comfortable feel while running.

Shin splints, also known as “Medial tibial stress syndrome,” are a common source of pain for many runners and athletes. It’s characterized by pain and inflammation along the inside front of the lower leg, along the shin bone. There are many theories on what causes shin splints and just as many ideas on how to treat them. Ankle instability seems to play a greater role in developing and treating shin splints. Athletic socks, such as the Run Ultralight Compression Socks, can be worn preventatively and during early stages of shin splints to help stabilize the ankle and increase circulation to reduce inflammation.

Power all the way to the top: Our running socks support your calves with targeted compression, revolutionary functional zones and high-tech microfiber. Due to targeted compression zones, your muscles get a critical boost when they need it. The Bauerfeind Sports Sock Line includes two running socks: the slightly thicker Run Performance Compression Socks and the extra-thin and breathable Run Ultralight Compression Socks. Available as no-show, mid-cut and knee-high compression socks.

The Bauerfeind Sports Recovery Compression Socks improve the legs’ vitality post hike and speed up the regeneration process. Graduated compression from the foot up helps promote muscle regeneration by activating the metabolism and circulation in the calf muscles. This helps decrease swelling and soreness in the foot, ankle and lower leg to recover more effectively after a run. With our travel socks, you can recover and revitalize your legs on your way to your next adventure.

For running, you can opt for compression socks or sleeves. In terms of functionality, both work similarly. Bauerfeind’s Sports Compression Sleeves incorporate targeted compression zones to increase the transfer of oxygen and promote better circulation. This translates to better endurance, reduced fatigue and more energy.

Additionally, Sports Compression Sleeves Upper Leg can help relieve pulled or tight hamstrings as well as sore legs. Sports Compression Sleeves Arm are a lightweight and easy way to regulate temperature, improve circulation and aid in recovery.

Yes. Washing your socks and sleeves regularly helps maintain their shape and last longer.
Machine-wash your socks and sleeves in cold water using a gentle or delicate cycle. Wash separately using a laundry detergent with no additives (do not use fabric softener or Woolite). Lay flat and let it air-dry. Do not put it in the dryer. Proper washing and drying helps keep the knit’s elasticity and original fit.
